about

and so it began...

In december 1999 I bought a simple ice cream maker based on a freezer bowl. In 2015, several hundred scoops later I finally bought a real one with a compressor, a DeLonghi ICK 6000. My adventure with ice cream, some would call them mad experiments, have been on and off over the years, but they have always been a stable and beloved part of birthday parties and the bi-weekly pen-and-paper sessions I have with my oldest friends.

I created this website in order to get rid of the multiple handwritten notes I have collected during this years.

My inspirations for cooking are Jamie Oliver [http://www.jamieoliver.com/] for his “cooking-does-not-have-to-be-hard” attitude, and Kenji Lòpez-Alt from Serious Eats [http://www.seriouseats.com/] that enlightens us with the science behind all of the things we normally do in a kicthen. Both approaches warms my pragmatic heart as an food lover, engineer and software developer.
